This was a surprise! I came here for my daily dose of vitalmtb media and saw my video posted, thanks!
I filmed this one a lot different than my other videos. Less fish-eye and more of a focus on the terrain. I wanted to show my riding style the way it is when people aren't watching. Tech, creativity, and weirdness.

This edit came together as a surprise. I was keeping a GoPro with me and filming anything I found interesting. After just a few rides had 3 minutes of footage. One more ride with the bros in the next town over and I had enough for this edit. The last clip is an example of a line I'd rarely film, but it was still super difficult. Hops happen.

After watching some videos from the mid 2000s, I became hyped on the simplicity of the edits. A good tune and riding clips. No story line, no ninja parkour battles, no police escapes or high level drone clips. Those things are entertaining for sure, but a plain riding video has a value too. I filmed this with no plan, and no constrictions on the riding. I rode what I wanted to, even with set-up hops! All new clips. Music: ...and you will know us by the trail of dead - how near, how far

Is it too far back for heel strike? Probably just to protect the sensors/junctions.

There talking about how small they can make the adapter.
LLLLL is correct. i spoke w/ kiran mackinnon about this at the tamarack race and he confirmed what LLLLL said - the minimum they could go out back was 20mm b/c of existing axle. greg didn't want a full 20mm...more
Shortest. As closest to the og axle location. They could have made it 40mm. If they wanted but greg probably wanted 15 longer so the 20 adapter and a shorter than previous link gives him what he wants.
Like Danny Hart camping out at Fort William a couple years ago (I think I read this in an interview), then having issues that weekend and getting 59th. It's not a guarantee.

Pretty sure the results would be different had Reece been riding 20" or 24" wheels. I'll await my downvotes
