Downduro is just cultural appropriation of mid 2000's freeride

Sorry, but a 30t chainring coupled with a 52t largest cog cassette isn't "useless", at least where I live. I would be more than happy to spin up on that setup on some steep and loose fireroad climb.

For me coil shocks have better midstroke support, but he is the Pro, what do I know

25 psi for a front tire with a dh casing and a 170 lb rider is soft?

Added a comment about feature MTB Tire Test: Michelin Wild Enduro vs. e*thirteen LG1r EN MoPo 5/20/2020 9:44 AM

I kind of agree at the moment, but it'll change. Michelin was the stuff back in the early Whistler days. Schwalbe is falling behind, their snakeskin casings suck, and SuperGravity too heavy for big xc rides. Love 'em for the heavier wheelset.

The new e.thirteen Mopo rubber is really impressive, and their trail sidewalls are fantastic. They just need to get their knob patterns sorted. Too squared off (still!, you think they'd learn) unless you're on narrower rims, and the center knobs are too short to be a good PNW all-rounder. Great tire for Squamish, and N Shore where there's less wet duff. If e.thirteen makes an Assegai/Mary competitor in Mopo and trail sidewall, I'm all in.

I like the bike simple, so I think that low POE hub would serve this purpose the same way.

They killed it on the parts spec. The GX doesn’t have a single throwaway component on it. Bravo for putting code RSC on this kit. I’d actually prefer the GX over the XO1 build for more durable/reliable parts.

Where in the PNW do you live? If Seattle area, a controlled spot like Duthie Hill is your ticket. Get really good at what you can do w/out freaking yourself out. It builds confidence. Then move to something one step harder and get confident on that. ... more »

How old is your shock? Is it possibly your damper is blown? What you describe in your latest post sounds like something is wrong if you're adding all that air + tokens and still eating up travel and harsh bottoming. I've had rear shocks blow in as little ... more »

Who's "we", sounds like you're with a mfr or something. I think we all know just doing maintenance on your lowers is what really matters, but hey, why not nerd out a bit when it's dumping rain outside! https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/MTB-Suspension-Q-amp-A-Session-Darren-Murphy-of-PUSH-Industries-on-The-Inside-Line-Podcast,2748 ... more »
