Added reply in a thread Overcoming Fear - How Do You Guys Do It? 11/18/2019 10:03 AM

Where in the PNW do you live? If Seattle area, a controlled spot like Duthie Hill is your ticket. Get really good at what you can do w/out freaking yourself out. It builds confidence. Then move to something one step harder and get confident on that. ... more »

Added reply in a thread What is the Best Air Shock? 11/14/2019 12:19 PM

How old is your shock? Is it possibly your damper is blown? What you describe in your latest post sounds like something is wrong if you're adding all that air + tokens and still eating up travel and harsh bottoming. I've had rear shocks blow in as little ... more »

Nailed it! It's not MTBers, it's the internet commenters of the world. The only ones bothering to comment most of the times are the ones with really strong opinions. No one else gives enough of a damn to hammer away on the keyboard. Most MTBers area ... more »

Who's "we", sounds like you're with a mfr or something. I think we all know just doing maintenance on your lowers is what really matters, but hey, why not nerd out a bit when it's dumping rain outside! https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/MTB-Suspension-Q-amp-A-Session-Darren-Murphy-of-PUSH-Industries-on-The-Inside-Line-Podcast,2748 ... more »

Well Maxima is the one brand that DVO says NOT to use. Seal swellers or something.

Added reply in a thread Handlebar Roll 10/18/2019 9:35 AM

Play around with it, lots of personal preference in here, and it needs to match to your bike fit and body. I found that bars rolled too far forward creates problem. I had elbow soreness for 2 years, mostly due to trail building, but riding was aggravating ... more »

Time for me to service my DVO Onyx sc damper and lower, and do a basic air can service for my SuperDeluxeAlanche. What suspension oil is has good lube properties, easily available, and not stratospheric price? Also thinking of going slightly lighter ... more »

Whether your opinion is right or wrong, there are a fair number of your readers who agree with Peter. We just don't act like dicks about it...

Okay, this can't be even more click-bait-y, but I'll bite...

First of all, to get one thing out of the way - Peter is an ass. End of story. No discussion needed.

Now onto the real issue:
This has nothing to do with entitlement and everything to do with spoilers.

Or since I don't have said press, just buy a DVO Onyx and be done with it. But yeah, certain MFRs need to do something like this. Or just be willing to have their forks be over 2kg. I think they're beholden to that magic number which is making for unreliable crowns.

E-bikes and Enduro racing are the best things to ever happen for heavier/harder riders. Everything else in the industry is designed for 5'8" 165-pound riders with an intermediate skill level. Yes please, I'll take a double order of E-bike forks, brakes, wheels, and drivetrain, thank...more

Big huge YES YES YES to the new 1.8" head tube standard. I've killed the CSUs on the last 4 forks I've run on my 160mm 65* head angle bike.

But what the heck is up with some in the industry thinking just e-bikes need stronger forks? Idiots. Stronger drivetrains, yes, e-bikes need more beef. But slack trail/enduro bikes going hard is why we need stronger forks. 15 extra pounds is nothing. Speed, jumps/drops and head angle stress is what's killing forks. MV^2.

Please include comparisons in your long term review. Without those tire reviews are absolutely pointless, because every good review reads nearly the same

The RUNT would allow you to run even lower pressure, giving you a more supple ride. The new spring rate also returns the fork to the beginning softer part of the stroke faster than 0 tokens. This makes the fork much more supple as well without losing support.

I do not believe you...more
