Fox missed the chance with the 38, when they should have been building a 36 dual crown.

I agree, its really the only way to achieve proper stiffness up front especially for big riders.

In my imagination, it was lift the front with the Boxxer and lower the BB with a mullet rear end.

Here is my Yeti SB 165 in "97.5". I am LOVING this bike. Exactly what was said about turns - able to dive in and out much quicker than full 29" - to me anyway. This set up is Really fast and fun!

Going with 170 29". I am not the first trying this with this bike of course. I know of at least two others riding it this way. The one has commented that he is loving it. More info at mtbr forums - yeti 165

Yes it seems to be working really well for more riders. I am going to try this out with the new Yeti SB165 in the next week. See how it goes!

To be fair, Wairoa Gorge is a tire's worst nightmare.

So was the top of this ride where the rocky bits were particularly rough/sharp. Our crew had a few punctures but I did not. Of course, I'd love to see a Double Down out back on a bike like this. Given enough time and prodding bike...more

Two things...

1) From the sounds of it, this would be an incredibly good race bike for hacks like me. Guys who can pedal but need some forgiveness when things get crazy and you get tired, which is sure to happen.

2) How long till someone buys one and puts a 29" up front?

What a beauty. Amazing win on a tough course. And another mullet on the top step! Long wait till Ste. Anne.

Jeff, Have you considered that Richie cannot talk about all the details of who's bottle it was he shared and the circumstances around it? To my knowledge, Graves hasn't had his decision yet. Legal proceedings being what they are, Richie is likely constrained on what he can say until Graves's case is...more

Why so much hate? U have previously claimed to have an inside line on both Jared and Richie's case, so with all the facts you know, and demanding the riders give you answers, why not give us all an answer on who your source is? That way, maybe more people can understand what you are talking about?? To...more

Rude served his suspension. His last years wins were stripped. Why are you still so upset?

From 2016 EWS in Chile. Now go read the list of ingredients on that Alphamine he's about to scoop in that bottle and you'll see higenamine listed. In 2016, when this photo was taken, it was not on the list of specified substances but was added in 2017. You can draw your own conclusion as to how it...more

Hey Jeff, there have been a few instances across the several years of EWS where the water stops have run out of water, and the race in question was one of them, these guys are coming through the Aid stations after several hundred riders, and sometimes they just run out. Every ews rider is told to...more

Lighten up dudes.

Richie got busted, served his penalty, and is back in the game, whatever the back story is. He's a young powerhouse with a long career ahead of him. I'm sure he'll be a lot more careful who's bottle he sips from now.

And damn, what a return!?!

4/5 stages won? Very impressive!
