just want to say how much I appreciate this podcast series, fantastic work!
Especially getting to know what drives these mtb personalities from all different angles of the industry personally and how they got to be where they are now is super fascinating and creates amazing charactes surrounding the racing scene.

These multi-media articles are awesome! Please don't mimic the news outlets that post articles with both a video and written story but the copy in the written story is nearly a word-for-word transcript of the video dialogue.

In the eyes of a former journalist, this article was a good mix of both, so hats off to you Spomer. Please keep on bringin' the heat.

man this is really, really, really interesting.. As said by that other guy in the rumours thread, we love the guys racing WC, EWS and all, and we know they're (most of them) down to earth, chilled, fun guys that enjoy what we enjoy and are just better at that. Since they're all super approachable, Eliot included ( when I marshalled in val di sole, in 2012 or so, I had the chance to chat with him and it was a memorable and fun encounter), it's nice to get to know them beyond their riding or the image portrayed through social media. Podcasts are great, I see them popping up in the mtb realm and I am stoked that the website putting out the best mtb content has decided to start a series of them. Keep rolling guys and stay great: because vital raw is like no other "raw".

thanks for the feedback everyone. @drewnobi, i'll see about overcast...we're new to all of this. @ahab, i've done 4 other interviews (and am doing a 5th one today). they'll probably launch every week or so for now and will try to keep the momentum up throughout the season. it's been really fun doing these interviews.

Spomer, thank you for always having my back!

The story is, I haven't had a bike sponsor for about 3 years. When budgets cuts hit Specialized marketing in 2013, my AllRide tour and Allride Jr development got dropped. I was super bummed but wanted to stay on the brand so I got a frame from friends that worked there in hopes budget would come back. I sent out proposals but teams were filled and I was branded. It was really no prob because I have great sponsors like Sram, FOXMTB, Clif Bar, and Camelbak that stepped up and kept me going. I do feel obligated to have a bike sponsor to finish that circle of sharing content and promoting my brands together, so a frame sponsor was needed. This past year Drew from Declinemag had a Canyon laying around so I figure I try something new and kept the shred alive! Season is done and I had fun. No pity for me tho, I've been dreaming for 22years, and will keep dreaming sponsors or not! I love this shit!

Thanks for kind words everyone and thank you Spomer for watching out for Homies!!

I stand corrected. Yes, you're right their intentions were not to reinvent the wheel but to make a bike standardless. Also choosing a suspension that in their minds work best. As for the geometry being modern that's a big plus as well.

So in light of your reply to mine I retract what I said. This bike is truly a one of a kind~

I "hope" it makes it to production

Congrats to jordanyz402 and nickb01, the winners of the Lourdes World Cup OTB contest.

Of 757 entries, 201 of you correctly guessed that both Aaron Gwin and Rachel Atherton would win. jordanyz402’s predictions were off by a combined time of just 0.628 seconds, earning him the RockShox BoXXer World Cup fork.

What about the grand prize Devinci Wilson XP bike? Vital member nickb01 defied all odds and predicted the winning men's rider, Aaron Gwin, and time down to the hundredth (3:09.13), meaning HE WON THE WILSON!

We'll have several more OTB contests throughout the season, so check back often.
