Maybe Loris sees how dialed Loic's bike gets when having a full "data" bike to use for setup at each race and wants that? Maybe he's tired of the puzzling with Fox and wants to actually make decisions on information not feelings? I still think that's ... more »

Very well could be 2 degrees steeper. However when starting from 72 deg actual that is nothing to brag about.

Seat tube still looks quite slack, agreed on the meh.

The only thing keeping Intense alive right now is the Tazer I bet. They are coming out with a version with a triple clamp fork that is going to be sold at Moto dealers. Actually that is a smart play and Intense does have that So Cal Moto cred going for ... more »

At 44 I too have to laugh at 35 being middle age! Pre-riding and doing tons of course recon I think cheapens the race experience. Enduro should be about setting up your bike, mindset and fitness to handle whatever comes and then just go out for the adventure ... more »

$299 Euro makes it a somewhat pricy experiment but I am interested. That said I don't feel like I ever really notice pedal kickback while riding however that could just be result of being used to it and not knowing better. I haven't experimented with ... more »

I'd argue that a true manual is coasting wheelie off the seat; standing only. For the question I can manual on demand for up to 15 ft or 5m, after that my consistency falls way off. Sometimes I can get a good one going most times not. For reference I ... more »

Ninjichor, you have mentioned you are buying a custom frame before. Who are you having build it? On the topic of length adjustable dropouts I don't think sliding dropouts would work too well but you could do flip chip style dropouts and build in 20mm ... more »

That's an interesting equation. Plugging some numbers in from different bikes I've ridden '18 Enduro 29 XL189.5 Commencal Meta Power XL 177 Spec EVO S3 183 L Norco Range 29 175.5 L Yeti SB5.5C 160.5 As I stated above the large SB5.5 I had awhile ago ... more »

Great thread I'm definitely only looking at bikes with 443mm or greater CS for this seasons race bike. At 73" tall with an arm span of 75" I end up on longer bikes so I can have enough room and for stability but for sure when reach gets long it really ... more »

That is of course very subjective but I think Intense still has lots of mystique, makes great bikes and has big respect on the circuit. YT is more of a party brand to me although Gwin and Mulally did a lot to legitimize it.

Well I'd say most on this site prioritize descending prowess over anything else and are willing to make compromises to reach that goal. Long chain stays actually make for a good climbing bike with a nice steep seat tube. 445mm chain stays on one of my ... more »

Seeing him send a Sentinel down Gnar EWS courses would be ace.

I thought that the ELEVENSIX was not available for either the '17 or '18 Specialized Enduro. Is this not the case? I have a '18 Enduro Pro 29 that I would love to put an ELEVENSIX on.
