How's the EXT Storia on the Titan? I love my Titan but the bottom out bumper on the X2 has me wanting a coil.

$299 Euro makes it a somewhat pricy experiment but I am interested. That said I don't feel like I ever really notice pedal kickback while riding however that could just be result of being used to it and not knowing better. I haven't experimented with ... more »

He very well be. I think what really has made the difference for Bruni is his mechanic and his mechanics dedication to data logging and analysis. Having a specific data bike and spending time on it at every track is in my opinion currently a big advantage over trying to explain what the suspension is doing and then tune based on feelings and words.

A big problem I see with the exclusive distribution through powersports outlets is that a new customer will possibly miss out on some bike trail knowledge that a true bike shop might have. What is a powersports shop to say when a customer asks...more

The turn bar is the very foundation of every trick ever. When people ask me to teach them to jump. I tell them to do the Slippery Salmon. Dead airs make dead riders. Hit that jump and just do Something! The second you stop moving in the air is the second that you start hitting the...more

Very well said Noah, and fully agree. I believe it was Graves who was once quoted at an enduro race saying something along the lines of. You get to choose the parts you put on your bike, parts you trust, you don't get to choose the wight of the bike using those...more

Another really great review. The octal rating and graph is really cool and a nice graphical and overall measure. This has me really looking forward to my new Banshee Titan build.
Was thinking of paring the Titan with a tallboy 4 and still think that might go great but looks the Phantom would also be great and maybe would be even better?

Definitely agree that chain stay length should grow as reach grows. Said another way, front center and rear center balance should stay the same for each size. Luckily some manufacturers are doing this or at least making longer chain stays to fit my desires and I'll be taking my money to them for the time being.

Really well done Transition! Think this is a huge step forward for the brand and I'm excited to see other bikes in their line up get a similar treatment. Also love the versatility they're giving the bike with the ability to long stroke the rear shock, for heavier riders, that...more

Thanks. I watched the video at lunch and you mentioned there. Great detail oriented review. Sounds like you could call the shock tune digressive, firm at low speed compression more open on high speed compressions, yes?

I'd argue that a true manual is coasting wheelie off the seat; standing only. For the question I can manual on demand for up to 15 ft or 5m, after that my consistency falls way off. Sometimes I can get a good one going most times not. For reference I ... more »
