Added a comment about feature Yeti Cycles Owners, Chris Conroy and Steve Hoogendoorn - The Inside Line 5/10/2019 5:02 AM

Great podcast, most questions I came up with during the conversation were answered.
I got reassured that it is a very sympathetic brand. I'll stay with them.

I also liked what they said about eBikes and their retail model (through shops). I was happy with my Canyony and YT and I only felt comfortable to spend that much money on a Yeti was because it was backed up by a great local bike shop. It seems to work and they do not need to go consumer direct.

I wonder how much of a blow/let down it is that their maine racer RR can't race right now.

Best of luck, have fun!

I am building mine up with an X2 (more pop, easier to get the sag right), but that orange spring looks sexy. Is there a recommondation from Yeti on the spring? On their website I only found recommondations for air setting.
Now please show us more photos, especially the Chris King parts and the cockpit.

You know your bikes overpriced when it's stock and still gets "bike of the day"... smile smile smile

OK, I admit I was being a d!ck, but it was funny...

AND, that's a "mid range" Stock build that looks like it's right off the sales floor getting "bike of the day". People spend weeks and months building their bikes to try and get a BOTD. Even if they are new from the shop they are usually unique in...more

WINNING BIKE - Rachel Atherton's Trek Session

Props to Sven, he had a hard job keeping that bike standing. How do you photographers deside who has to do it? Do you draw straws?
PS, I guess if I was Rachel I would have asked for new grips at least by Saturday. Those things look worn.

A few comments:

-"no crazy antisquat numbers" : anti-squat of 100% basically means that whatever suspension movement is introduced by the force on the pedals is counter-acted by the tension on the chain, leaving the bike essentially free of bobbing (seated climbing, all other things being equal)....more

If you would’ve ridden an xl frame the bike would’ve feel more long and stable so ass more modern enduro geometry’s, right?

What makes a such a long reach (way longer even what the next larger size was before) suddenly more comfortable? I am pretty skeptical of this one. Martin Maes and Sam Hill aren't riding abnormally long bikes and do ok. I've ridden large size bikes, is there something...more

In my experience the SB150 pedals every bit as well as the SB5.5. Unless they're really rocky, the shear travel numbers may be overkill for flatter trails though. Kind of depends on the terrain. It definitely has big bike capabilities. Gotta wonder if Yeti has anything...more

For the first run and a half I had difficulty turning really well. Once I made a conscious effort to lean forward things really started clicking. After a few more rides it was second nature.

CS length works just fine for me and keeps the front end easier to pull up, which...more

People think about changing from the SB 5.5 to the 150. But isn't it almost a different bike category?

I bought the SB5.5 for "around the house" with flatter trails and lots of pedalling. As opposed to other Enduro Bikes, such as my 27.5 Capra, the SB5.5 was more of a trail bike (pedalling efficiency) with a high speed limit.
The 150 seems to be a full on race enduro and thus not exactly in the same category. What do you think?

Thank you for the good review Brandon.
You say that this bike is asking to put your weight forward (which for not so good riders like me takes courage). I was suprised by the super long reach. Does that make it even more difficult to put your weight forward, or does thsi make it easier?
What do you think about the comparitively short chain stay combined with that long reach?
