Cassette tool interface ftw - the hex top caps are the bane of fork servicing.

Vital is killing it. Comparing this article to counterparts on other websites, this is just so much better. Loving the multimedia aspect. Seeing the trails discussed in detail in the review is sick.

He was probably late because the line to the porta-potty he was in was longer than expected. You know, since you can't just piss in the woods without getting fined.

I would expect a warning or reprimand from someone at the start hut. If there was a problem, they apparently got over it and let him take his run. Why does the guy at the bottom have to nearly come unglued? You put up good money to race at National Champs and shouldn't have to walk on egg shells everywhere and get treated like this. Imagine the roller coaster Finn Jr. just went on; he has an awesome run, (unofficially) wins, then immediately chewed out by an official...and DQ'd. Unreal. I'd be pretty sour on paying another dime to USAC.

That was unbelievably stupid.

I hear you but I disagree. Depending on rider weight, terrain and style, 35ish PSI can be normal on conventional rims running lighter casing tires. Now, its absolutely firm for the new wider stuff but in my experience I still end up in the high twenties even with my 30mm internal carbon rims. But I'm fat, slow and hackish...

Excellent review dude. Way to bring forth an objective eye, back it up with some facts and still go abuse the product.

I like this. About to build a new bike and I have always struggled with proper drivetrain setup.

Really appreciate the honesty Vital. I know that a lot of "reviews" on other sites come at a price, and it's great to see a media outlet providing real feedback.

This morning has been a whirlwind of emotions. Trying to fight back tears and sadness, while simultaneously laughing at some of the adventures and stories. Kelly was an amazing person and I'm fortunate enough to have known him for a number of years.
One of the Kelly memories that came up this morning was from 2011 at the US open. To make a story short, we were done for the day and heading back to the hotel. The area Raleigh rep's wife, was hanging out with us and told Kelly she had a big growler waiting for Kelly back at the hotel. The look of shock and confusion on the big guys face will never be forgotten. It took a few more minutes before we found out that the only definition of a growler that Kelly knew was a euphemism for lady parts!
Kelly, you were one of a kind and won't ever understand how many people you've inspired through your life. Cheers Bruh, I hope you're in a better place and the memories never be forgotten.
