That’s because they don’t have a choice. When the manufacturers don’t make any other options, that’s what everyone is stuck with.

26 for life! I think bike wheel size should depend on rider and bike size. Smaller riders on small frame and 26 wheels, med on 27.5 and large on 29ers.

Plus bikes are actually less likely to flat due to the increased volume, especially when running tubeless. I got way more rim strikes with my 2.4's than I do with my 2.75's even though I'm running lower pressure.

I've been running 26+ on my Uzzi for about 3-4 months now. It's a blast both uphill and downhill. I can monster truck over or through anything. Its built up light though, only 28.7 lbs with the plus tires. I have another wheelset with 2.4's on them that ... more »

I have a light saddle with not much padding so I always wear a chamois for my off-road rides, then change into regular shorts after for the post ride beer recovery drinking.
