Type in carbon bike frame into Alibaba and this exact frame comes up.
I had the chance to ride Marin's version (in the parking lot) and really take a close look at that bike. It could be an interesting ride, but a few things I noticed: - The rear end is VERY flexy. Like, not even remotely close to the most flexy rear ends, ... more »
I'm not bashing, nor am I hating, we just predicted this unholy marriage over a decade ago. 3 frame sponsors in 4 years, Brian? It's time to take a good hard look at yourself. Rehab for character flaws is just called, "therapy." And as for those that say they wish they had Lopes's, "mad...more
I don't get why there are so many brands wanting to pay older riders to represent their companies. What exactly are the brains behind Ellsworth thinking by promoting an older rider who doesn't even race anymore. The industry is changing fellas. Time to start hooking up the up and comers, you know, the guys who are out racing and providing media content. For the price you paid for Lopes you could have helped out a handful of kids I'm sure.

Breaks? Was that intentional?

Sounds totally fair. Give the up and comers a shot, if they have the results to back it up. DH is a cruel animal, if your head (or body) isn't in it, you're done, and there might not be any recovering from it. I'm not saying this is the case with Sam, ... more »
Let's not forget the local bottle collector/psychopath and his bike that is so sticky and disgusting you have to wear gloves just to touch it. Bu he always pays in cash so you grin and bear it.
No arguments here. That drives me crazy too. There are way too many mechanics who have that elitist attitude because they can build a wheel or do a fork overhaul. Guess what - those aren't hard to do. It usually comes with guys who have just enough wrenching ... more »
Yup, dirty bikes. Charge 'em through the nose for that shit. A shop I used to work for, the head mechanic would make the customer wash his bike out back before he even looked at it. It was great.
A while back I stumbled upon dhgate and saw all the TLD gear they had for dirt cheap. I was wondering if they were knock-offs or the real thing, just being sold direct from the factory. I ordered up a few jerseys. hahahahahahaha what I got was so terribly ... more »
Very good shock, as I ran one last year without any real complaints. The only issue is not directly with this shock, but how the industry as a whole still uses bushings at the mounting points. For three bikes in a row now, I have swapped out to needle bearings, and they allowed the shocks to really come alive. Plus, they are way more durable. MX bikes have used needle bearings in the shock eyelets for decades, yet we still use plastic bushings. Doesn't make sense.
