I know a guy who did just that on his sender(dropper and a 42 cassette). Then again, he is that type of guy who can run 100+ kms marathons in the mountains so, he's got the legs to do it.

But a 140mm bike, even one with a 63 ha, is still a trail bike. There is an imbalance here between the geo and the available travel. nice bike nonetheless. Similar geo with 170-180mm of travel can and will take the abuse. (I've know because I've done ... more »

If I will be able to put 180mm DC on my next enduro bike, I will put it. But, as someone said earlier, most of us have that image of big burly dh rigs of maybe 10-20 years ago when enduro was non-existent and trail bikes were mostly crap. As tech and ... more »

When even agressive trail bikes can be had with a 63 HA, for big enduro bikes, it is only about DC compatibility and actual fact of using a DC on them.

Just realized the perfect example. Propain Spindrift with Zeb fork. 190-180mm bike(could just as well be 180-180), loong(but not that long, maybe with the long pos CS), low, best served in a mullet form. Now really, how much slower do you think you'd ... more »

Why do you believe that?, considering similar geo, 20mm of travel makes almost to no difference. And no, the enduro bike is not a bike with 150-160mm..no, that is either an agressive trail bike or a enduro type racing bike - racers have other requirements ... more »

dh racing should be like

Alternatively, they should race 180mm (maybe dc-ed)enduro bikes and call it a day!

Replace the dh bikes with enduro bikes and nothing will change. This sport isn't model bike dependent, at least in my personal opinion. Considering the global sales of dh bikes, maybe they actually should change them.

Cube would probably give everthing to get rid off the image they currently have, aka, bikes for Joeys; bling components, bad kinematics, bad geometry, poor quality. As long as any of the last 3 will not change, and they will not, as they are cheap effs ... more »

I really liked the aos system..more so than the i-drive i was using at the time. Too bad though that all aos bikes where a let down from geometry pov, especially for my constitution/height.

It puzzles me how, and why, ppl deter the rearward axle path. It makes for such a good and complying ride, that the overall quality of riding is increased for the better.
