Also why pay for 3 riders when 2 riders will have just as much success not racing the soon to be cancelled 2021 season? Syndicate always 2steps ahead of the competition.
Agree with the stickman, but you need to take into consideration his "80-90%" use of an ebike, which is not far from my current usage.
I will add I got much better at sustained high rpm pedalling though, which is something I was bad at before.
Regarding swapping to and from evokes and regular bikes, it isn't that much of a big deal, I have very similar geometry and tyres across my bikes (yt Capra 29, commencal meta power mullet). Main issue is going back to the Capra, the very first bunny hop of the ride often looks like an attempted half backflip...

Did not read the article, because thats what you do on the internet, but I will share my experience...6 yrs ago when I started riding eMTB assist bikes, I went full on, 80-90% emtb and rode analog bike very little. When I did, I drastically noticed the SNAP, or...more
I could see that in some places. The thing is, where I live, e-bike access is pretty limited. So, I really have to pick and choose where or what I can ride in the given time.
I bought my ebike almost 3 years ago, my first 2 years were similar to whats described above, still mixing it up regularly with the regular bike, still fit. Problem eventually you start ridding with guys who only e-bike, and/or (usually correlated) you buy a second battery, and little by little the regular bike seems like you get so little done. This was all compounded by the lock-down of course, where every hour outside became limited (in my country) ...

I feel like there are only a handful of athletes out there that have reached the levels of respect/admiration as Sam Hill. If it is about wanting to spend more time at home, I would love it if some brand reached out to him to ride a partial season rather ... more »
I was going to get a Zeb, but they are out of stock in the model I wanted, so just went with the same Lyrik I have on my second bike. Don't have hands on time unfortunately with the thicker forks, but a 160mm (29er) Lyrik is plenty stiff in my eyes. ... more »
I remember Tahnee got a fair amount of press out of the whole "follow my dream" marketing, and hitting/crashing the biggest gaps in Champery as a pre-teen. I think it is a similar combo of potential and good marketing skills on her behalf that is pushing ... more »
That is one good looking bike from Commencal!
Well, it obviously isn't the same when an industry insider isn't creating doodles and posting all over the internet to fuel the rumor mill. We also bashed away people contributing "X brand liked Y rider's instagram story so he is definitely going there" ... more »
https://www.canyon.com/en-hu/mountain-bikes/trail-bikes/stoic/ Crazy good value on the entry level one. If they released a 26 inch version of the xxs/xs for kids at 800e it would be a no brainer.
I remember liking the Cairns RAW footage quite a bit, the race a bit less I guess because the pedaling section was too big a factor. Not sure I understand these lists which don't mention Champery and Schladming. Unpopular opinion: Fort Bill isn't that ... more »
The answer to your question is "their DH bike", no idea what they are teasing though.
Depends where you live I guess, my experience with the only 2 inline shocks that came stock on my bikes in 2012 and 2016 resulted in completed failure of the shock during enduro racing in the alps. Replaced with piggy back versions and never an issue ... more »
Yeah, Barel has been spotted using an EP8 equipped canyon e-bike, hopefully a mullet with similar geo to today's spectral which would put it pretty high up on the list of e-bikes to consider. That being said, you would want a decent price which Canyon ... more »
Blenki, 26" wheels and a loose jersey, name a better trio!

Safe to assume at least one wheel will be 29
Canyon teasing what is probably a new spectral on FB.

I know that Downcountry and short travel slack bikes are all the rage these days but let me add my point of view. I've ridden a few of these bikes and they are indeed a lot of fun and feeling light and spirited on climbs is great. I just ran into problems when pointing them downhill....more
