Part 1 out of 3 of the story: As life becomes more complicated and busy, the rider and monster inside Dylan is torn away and trapped in an alternate dark world of confusion and struggle. This goes unnoticed by Dylan as he is swept away by life's responsibilities such as school and work. But Dylan’s monster is in a constant struggle to return to its host, much like a virus. This rider is in a race to close the gap between itself and Dylan. In the Shadows is the first part of the story as the monster and Dylan work towards a final symbiosis.
