Transition is absolutely killing it right now from a product and branding (and beer drinking) standpoint. Pretty hard to criticize nearly any of those geo or spec details. Well done fellas.
Common guys - everyone knows....once you go black, ya don't go back!
Most of the sentiment I have seen was more so that he got massively underscored - not necessarily that he should have won. I would have a pretty hard time arguing with that and it was not the first fishy score IMO. The judges clearly have gobs of street ... more »
Seems pretty clear that MTB and Road need separate governing bodies. Scopes, consumer base and event demands for each are so different. Anyone who acts surprised that the new UCI Pres could give a flying funk about MTB clearly has not been paying any ... more »

Roast Beef, BRO! Beef badger dont care about wheelsize.
Can we get a list of each and every tool included in kit?
Spomer, I would love to see some actual statistical analysis of the the big wheelers and their placing this year. Any chance you guys could make that happen with Mark Shilton of Geek Stats? It would be super interesting to see. Even with the track changes it seems like you could analyze specific sections of track that were running close to the same times as past seasons and then compare the guys times who switch to the big wheelers? Honestly, Hart's switch back even though he said additional testing showed that 29ers were .5 seconds faster for them is a bit mind blowing to me. Knowingly giving up .5 seconds seems like a terrible idea with how tight times are these days.

This "looks lame" thing is such BS IMO....and slippery slope. Should riders still be on V-brakes..er... canti's....er...drum brakes? Ft sus only ...er fully ridgid? That would look way more loose. What about modern geo? Longer front centers create way ... more »
no worries. b/c these are face-to-face, we're limited to who we can interview. we've talked about a non-face-to-face format but the audio quality and the conversation quality is just different when you're not sitting together. i'm hoping...more

Loving the podcasts guys! Listened to every one so far.
This is the 3rd sram kool-aid pusher you guys have had on now. How about spreading the love a bit? Tons of other interesting personalities in the industry that don't actually work at sram. It would also be cool to get some international guys in the mix!
Thanks and keep up the good work!

Can someone address 27.5 vs 29 wheel aerodynamics and drag when attempting to cut thru a midge swarm? Seems like smaller wheels will win out? Keep your chin's up boys... ;-)
Prototype stuff had glitter ~2 years ago. Production has not had glitter ever. If that is the case, Iago is using some really old sealant. It also never was orange...but maybe that is a photo reflection of something since that um...mystery mfg rim also has an orange glow.

All this hype and you need an expensive tap and likely a voided fork warranty to even use it. Annddd if your HS comes loose on a ride...
This is why baby jesus invented POCKETS.

Cool bikes, but those welds...
Sometimes this industry just can't help itself - DH Bike sales (and the industry as a whole) are already suffering. After the race this weekend or Ft. Bill, when 29ers leave 650b in the dust....no one in their right mind will be plunking down 4k-9k for ... more »
NICA (for the parents) - We heard one story of a large team that had as many coaches as riders - aka 20 dudes telling their bosses, "sorry, I have to bone out early today because I have to coach my kid's mountain biking team."
....more like "I get discounts for bikes from all those brands if I just say Im a coach?"
