It has nothing to do with who came to market first and the Proframe does not offer better ventilation, I had both helmets. Stage is better in every way.

Better quality outer shell finish and visor mounting. My Proframes felt cheap compared to the Stage. I also think the Stage has better ventilation and breathes better. Don't get me wrong, I liked the Proframe but the TLD is superior.

Depends on the shape of your head. I had two Proframes and they never fit well, even with changing all the pads to suit my head. The Stage fits like a D3, which is perfect for my head. The Stage is also lighter and better made, they are nothing alike.

Xs looks wacky... And you really missed an opportunity for a matching gold cassette!
Don't mind me, I'm just jealous...

Thanks but I am looking for a comparison to current Enduro bikes like (Specialized Enduro, Santa Cruz Nomad, Trek Slash....), I know it isn't a XC hard tail dude.

Why is he running SLX discs? And what is the tubing that they are putting over the shift and brake lines?

I wanted this bike so bad when I was in college.

You are correct I just check and there is slight contact when the suspension is fully bottomed out. There is a very small mark on the frame from the can hitting. I guess I will flip the shock around as you have. Thanks for the heads up.

Basically yes. The stock suspension didn't work for racing Enduro.

DBinline is awesome (with the neddle bearings), feels more like a coil than an air shock. Great for small bump but can be tuned to take the big hits. Perfect shock for enduro.

beb - exactly.... Any suspension design that requires the shock mount to rotate; Genius, Voltage, most Giants.... The difference on this bike was night and day. I wasn't impressed with the DB inline until I added the needle bearings. The angleset cups slacken the head by .7 degrees to 66.1

RWC needle bearings fit ion place of standard DU bushings, no mods needed. They make a huge difference on certain types of suspense design, the Scott Genius being one of them.
