'Democrats, or Republicans' was not mentioned. I hope you do see the relevance of the cost of cycling goods to a cycling site though. News that will most likely affect everyone should just be seen as that, news, not bias. Plus, this article had good arguments...more

Bender got a motorcycle?
There’s just too much hipe and writhing in your comment
I'm unconvinced. I've unboxed many bikes from many large manufacturers, and I've never found one that can be properly built up & adjusted in ten minutes. Derailleur hangers are rarely straight; cable tension usually needs to be dialed in; brakes often need...more

I simply can't comprehend how people can complain about longevity of shoes, when at $150, they are less than the average set of grippy tires. I have gone through a set of tires in a week of racing or riding in Whistler, and well, nobody seems to complain about that. Why is one product at, at...more
Simply put, your expectations of how long a shoe that is as grippy as a 5.10 (head and shoulders above ANYTHING else on the market) should last is out of touch with reality. Comparing the sole grip/wear to tires, a good set of sticky tires (NOT Conti Black Chili) last weeks at best. Of course you can always trade off grip for longevity and go with a harder compound tire, same with the shoes. I bought a pair of the Giro Riddance shoes due to no availability of the 5.10's I wanted and I can tell you that they are going to last a long, long time - I'm not wearing them because the grip sucks compared to a 5.10.

Some of us want a shoe that more closely resembles a skate shoe rather than a hiking/approach shoe. Aesthetics are highly subjective.
