I ran one of those for a season of bike park riding. Works awesome- especially for $20. I cut the 'tang' off the derailleur hanger and zip tied the main body of the alfine tensioner straight to the chainstay IE rotate yours another 45 degrees CCW and ... more »

not sure why- it's easier to make a long chainstay/long travel bike. you get more seat & seattube clearance and the chainstay/chainring/tire clearance area is easier to solve. i ride a 445 reach bike so IDK

it's a Harley... you'll only ever see it parked outside a bar (ie not on the trails).

Good read from Phil Gaimon- I saw some video with him discussing the WADA list and how he would type every ingredient in food/supplement/vitamin into the list before using it. Tedious but part of the job. ... more »

Probably should be doing a yearly check on ingredients vs WADA list if you are a pro athlete.

I have one- I got it to train with for enduro racing. I remove it off the bike for racing (it's heavy and fragile) and during the off-season (don't want to know how fat/weak I am haha). Features I'd like: -good battery life -consistent measurement/accuracy ... more »

Sam Hill training in October... He's like damn I only won 50% of the races last year- need to get stronger. haha

Reply to Dual crown forks in enduro soon? 8/24/2018 1:22 PM

That flex might not be the worst thing... Save some fatigue and vibration. Remember the first gen Fox 40's? They were too stiff. Fox made the second gen ones flexier on purpose.

I think a lot of turns are too tight and pedalling uphill with a dual crown sucks (knees hit the upper crown).

I'd say teocali is better than Dr. park, but either one is good. Better views and camping on Teocali IMO.

Reply to How would you stop Richie from flatting? 8/17/2018 6:35 AM

For sure it was a pinch flat. Not sure which is better- DD+Cushcore vs DH tire. I usually choose based on traction. DH tire has more grip & rolls slower, DD tires are usually faster rolling. Also think about repairing vs run flat. You can run flat ... more »

This looks interesting, but I don't know of anyone using them and 500-600 grams each:

Easily. I pinched a Maxxis DD aggressor with cush core- the hole was big enough for my pinkie finger to pass through. The same impact would have likely cut a DH tire. I think a cush core with some kind of hard plastic hula hoop core (foam around it) ... more »

remove your tire and straighten the wall of the rim with an adjustable (crescent) wrench. OR if it's not leaking- just leave it alone.

^^ For sure it's more a team event and would reward consistency. I'm guessing they are trying to make the race like MXoN- which is really fun to watch and speculate about.

crap- forgot Graves! Yeah NZ would be stacked too. Could be a cool race- we will see!

Developing a complete pull shock chassis for a single frame is a big project for little return in sales. I'm impressed Fox and Cannondale made it happen (DYAD). We are not working on pull shocks. Imagine how stoked everyone would be if there was a pull ... more »
