The corner at 11:42 tells you everything you need to know about why/how Vergier and Bruni are so fast - smooth, planted, right on the left of the track (almost on the grass) where there are the least bumps... Magical.
Confirmation of Pivots sponsors this year, inc. Conti and Leatt.
Looks like Pinkbike have a new tech and racing editor, he’ll be testing all the new ‘dope’ ‘gear’ for them from now on I assume!
Hard disagree on only judging riders form based on dry races. You get to race the track you're presented with, if its hard and wet and your form in those conditions is bad then you do bad, that sucks for the rider but it's really just a lack of skill ... more »
I realise that I'm a bit behind on this one, and that it's more of a technical clothing than bike related item, but has anyone else noticed the SevenMX esq tank top and base layer combo the Yeti Factory guys are wearing? It's something that I've wondered
New (unwrapped) Pivot enduro bike? Seen in the background of the latest Bernard Kerr LSD.
Super interesting question! Do we have a list of the riders that crossed from decent level of moto racing to a successful mtb carrier (thinking at a fairly old age, i.e Gwin)? Off the top of my head I can only think of: Gwin Palmer Reece Wilson Elliot ... more »

Getting big r/gatekeeping vibes from this...
It's still up, and that hasn't been cut or anything so don't think that's the case. It's a very different thing from saying you don't like the bike to a pro racer saying that they didn't move on leaps and bounds with the testing they did, and that there's ... more »
Looks like a Radon to me, maybe a Skeen?
To be honest I don’t mind the rolling resistance at all. It’s hard to say if you would though as I think it’s a lot to do with the kind of terrain you have to ride - almost all of the trails around me are mega skippy and steep, but if they were flatter and required more rolling speed I’m sure it’d be a different story. I have no issues pedalling it around though, and on my previous bike with the same set up actually did a 113km road ride and the rolling resistance wasn’t nearly as much of an issue as I’d thought it would be.

I’ve only mounted my Garmin to it so far. It would take my phone if I had a case with an adaptor though, and the mount is definitely stiff enough to take it.

The combo is amazing, I’ve been on eagle (not axs, an X01/GX mash up) for the last couple of years and the shifting on this set up is a definite marked improvement. Obviously the AXS shifting is really consistent and precise, but being able to just hold the paddle down and mash on the pedals while changing from 12th-1st is straight luxury.
I’m sure the actual shifting performance isn’t really any quicker or better than a good condition and we’ll set up Shimano group, but I chose the AXS mainly for the longevity - I know that next time I get on the bike it’ll still be perfect, no sticky or stretched cable etc. I like just not having to think about it at all.
