Yep, it's getting good reviews here in the UK but being labelled as the perfect trail bike mmm, not sure🤔 The concept of the pinion wheel has been about for a while in the DH scene, however it does make for a long chain & where would you buy one as the usual suspects tend to sell only 116 link chains. Still it does look's sic & it's great to see the small scale companies taking to the big boys. If the reviews are correct it's a cracking ride.

I wouldnt label it as the perfect trail bike. I would however label it the perfect all around bike. Sort of a one bike quiver if you will. It has a bit of a mini enduro feel to it in my opinion but with a good pedaling platform. The good thing about this frame is that it only requires 116 links. This sets it apart from other high pivots that make you buy two chains. With a 80 dollar xx1 chain, that starts to add up quick lol. Since my AXS derailleur is shorter than the mechanical version, I only use 114 links of the 116 required. Definitely give my hat off to the guys at Deviate. Chris and Ben have been great to work with.

Keeping the normal chain length, now that's a great positive. Like you say chain's ain't cheap! I read the most recent review in MBUK & it does look the business! Sic.

Sick bike! How do you like the high pivot suspension?

I absolutely love it. The rearward travel path of the rear wheel translates well on the downhills for stability. The lack of pedal kickback is nice as well. Somehow, even with the ease of wheel movement on downhills, the pedaling platform is perfect on climbs as well.

Only one issue, the first pic of a Deviat should AWAYS be the drive side.
