Rockshox seems to be more clearly differentiating its forks through travel brackets. No longer will somebody wanting to run a 170 fork on their enduro bike be able to choose between a Lyrik and a Zeb (unless more air spring travel options than shown ... more »

For the Zeb, I suspect the larger negative spring will have a greater impact than the buttercup.

You can also tap in a PF bb with a rubber mallet. I’ve done it many times. No special tools needed. I have no issue with it.

Right? 3 races in one week with 350+ people within 4 hours of each other and I've seen nothing on PB about the Canadian races, but every other country's champs and race reports is kind of bullshit.

That being said, I was there and it was awesome to watch....more

Nice work Vital. I'm glad at least one MTB website is interested in covering the Canadian DH scene.

I don’t think it will change the way I ride, but it will change the way I maintain my bike. For example, my DUB bb bearing seized yesterday and new ones are locally in short supply. I managed to service the bearing to get it spinning again and will work ... more »

Been riding nothing but the Specialized 2FO clip lite since 2013. In fact, when my 1st pair bit the dust I bought 2 replacement pairs just in case they discontinue the shoe.

@TEAMROBOT - check out p. 12 and 13 of the Zeb service manual. Charger 2.1 has a bladder, Charger RC and R use a spring-backed IFP. https://www.sram.com/globalassets/document-hierarchy/service-manuals/rockshox/front-suspension/zeb-sm-gen.6284-english.pdf

The GX Eagle big cog is aluminum, not steel. The 11 speed GX cassette was fully steel.

With prices on these creeping up to Maxxis territory, it will be hard not to compare their performance against the best. Specialized tires used to be a good budget product, but those days are behind us. Of course, with the anticipated supply issues, Specialized can sell tires based on availability rather than price.

I had an X01 Eagle derailleur last me 2 years without issue. In contrast, I went through a GX Eagle derailleur in 6 months before it developed play and lost shift quality. The X01 Eagle chain also last far longer than GX. The GX Eagle cassette, cranks ... more »

I guess different reviewers rode the 2019 and 2021 versions, but it would be interesting to know how they compare, especially in terms of rear suspension feel.

Yeah, I know a few people (myself included) who have torn EXO+ DHR II, and there are reports of EXO holding up better than EXO+ due to using 60 TPI instead of 120 tpi. Going back to Michelin, I think they nailed the casing on the Wild Enduro Rear for ... more »
