full ragdoll: extend all your limbs and let them go limp, so as you cartwheel down the mountain you willl have "limb shox", which protects vital organs. Also, helps to have a drink of some strong spirits mid-air as you get ejected from your vessel.

Trek using a wide flanged/short cassette body, centerlock DH hub, spotted in the Dave Trumpore slideshow on PB. It's been a long time since there has been a Saint revision, could this be a new Shimano hub?

From what I understand, it's more like a bottom out stop. Air volume should be (mostly) unaffected, You just have to run higher pressure than the 58mm stroke shock. At 250 you'd be running pressures near the max which would make the longer travel shock ... more »

Could be that the rear shock has the same stroke (58mm) but is internally limited to 50mm. Wouldn't be the first time a manufacturer has used this "trick". If so, you could have the shock rebuilt with the spacer removed by a knowledgeable suspension ... more »
