It’s about clearance as it is pretty tight. See comment below. The Cascade link also drops the shock a few mm in the tunnel. The bike performs incredibly well with the coil in the rear.

Is there such a thing as a blinged out rotor adapter?
And inserts prevent rim damage and flat spots, definitely not overkill.

Some very light rub on a really muddy day. For general riding there’s no contact. I’ve also applied some slick tape (UHMW) in the tunnel.
