Interesting. I draw parallels to other industries where an athlete partners with someone to start a brand. Thing I can't really figure out is if the volume of bikes produced through a company with a model like Robot Bikes is significant enough to float a WC race team. Yeah, yeah, speculation I know,...more

Mckay Vezina (Giant) was riding with Mark Wallace there a couple weeks ago, but I would guess they were just riding as buddies. Pretty sure Mark's under contract for another year.

You're missing my point. Gwin could be on Mongoose and Sr Suntour for all I could care next season, but either way, no one's bringing up new rumors with credible sources to the table. They just keep going back to the same stuff that was said many pages ... more »

It would've been entirely worth it for three separate threads to have been started this offseason: 2019 Racing Rumors (sans Gwin & Neko), New Bike Rumors , and Shall It Be Gwintense, Or Just Keep Trekking?

The issue as I see it is that "freeride" just isn't synonymous with competition. Making it into one takes away from the entire ethos of the sport. The fest series is really onto something and taps into what the sport is all about at its core (riding with your buds and pushing your limits... for YOU...more

'Democrats, or Republicans' was not mentioned. I hope you do see the relevance of the cost of cycling goods to a cycling site though. News that will most likely affect everyone should just be seen as that, news, not bias. Plus, this article had good arguments...more

“Refined” still only clears a 2.4 out back, reach is truthfully a size short, seat tube is still 1-2* too slack as well as 1”+ too long, and if they’d dropped a degree off the head angle they would have opened up better doors for shorter offset forks....bike still hits the target but...more

I wouldn't say that's a major problem. Its something one can work around without much issue. Put another way, I've never won/lost a race because my BB was threaded or press fit.

I'm still in shock this bike is so che...err...inexpensive and spec'd this well.

We really wanted to test a very wide range of different pad types and designs, and the Speed caught our eye in the ultra-thin category.

Why not include the TLD 5400 instead of the Speed? From what I gather, most would place the 5400 at the top of the category, not the bottom.

Hey enrico650,

I don't work full time for Vital, I do review product for them from time to time, so don't take what I write as "coming from Vital".

However, I have been to a few of these bike launch events and wanted to mention a few things...

First, generally the company can only...more
