the first sentence of the article says "trek invited us to mammoth." i feel that's pretty transparent. like grambo mentioned, they hosted us. this is a long-time practice in any industry unveiling a new product for editorial consideration. additionally trek is NOT a current...more

It's unfortunate that this frame design was Evolve Bikes' first and Shred was able to copy it and Unfortunately its made it to vital first..

I recently asked Evolve Bikes if they knew about Shred's copy cat frame and they said...
"Yes we have. Unfortunately every bike on the market can be copied by knock off companies. There's dozens that imitate even the larger brands. Just the way it is with outsourcing and patents being open. They are a small start up from Portugal and did not use our mould or layup practices from our supplier so it is what it is"

I don't really know the whole process when it comes to picking frame designs and being able to protect them or not but either way I feel kinda bad for Evolve. All the guys there are super friendly and have been working hard at building their brand. Getting a new bike company started in North America isn't all that easy to do when competing against some well established names in the industry.

So looks like this Dan guy and his pet Dingo did some hard creepin on Lew Buchanan's insta account and brought this

Am I the only one who feels Trek had Buchanan as just a spot filler for last year and the Yeti deal was already lined up waiting for the green light once the season was over.

Trek isn't overly know for taking risks when it comes to riders. And to be honest, the Katy Winton,Casey Brown and Lew Buchanan team was a bit of a suprise as it wasn't what Trek would normaly do. Whoever they sign, my guess is they go with a rider whos ... more »

Is this speculation or is there some actual rumblings of this being true?

Was in the process of posting these haha. Also not Just a Yeti but what looks to be a Yeti with suspension data stuff strapped to it. Maybe this is why Richie Rude was constantly commenting on his posts on Instagram.

Makes sense. He's pulled the "Racing for trek factory enduro" out of his instagram profile added a black flag and has stopped tagging Trek as well. Maybe YT has an enduro team coming?
