Thanks!
I liked it a lot!..I no longer own this bike but it was one of my favorite builds/set-ups.
It climbed really well and was of course sweet on the downs!

No I haven't and would't..In addition to that being illegal and not a good idea for changing attitudes towards Ebikes, I've found there to be an ample amount of thrust for anything I'd ever want to do. I could see in far more remote areas and wanting to truly go on a "backcountry" exploration that having more thrust would be cool for sure!

nismo325 ..YES!..you're right..I've never been able to stop that motor and think that doing my backflips and 360's while dislodging the biggest rocks at Mach speed up the "climb only trail" is a dangerous thing...
Thanks so much much for pointing that out Captain Obvious.

You presuppose that the only fitness activity on the planet is MTB.. and that the only fitness activity ALL Ebikers do is Ebike..and, that it is impossible to create fitness or "earn your turns" thru Ebiking-NewsFlash!-You can make most activities difficult. I'm just as tired Ebiking as I've been on a mechanical/traditional mtbike. I've been lucky (Aunt and Uncle both passed from cancer) enough to have been healthy and fit my entire life. I've done many different things to stay fit over the years-the gym, martial arts, parkour, climbing, etc...And YES, every year I get into good climbing shape until it becomes "tolerable". The belief that one must be lazy, injured, deconditioned, etc. to own and ride Ebikes is ridiculous. It may come as a shock to ya but there are "other" things one can do to stay fit in addition to MTBing. It is the same attitude that some people have about their favorite form of fitness..rock climbers, martial artists, yogis, gym rats (my favorite "bench press guy")..they think it is the ONLY/GREATEST form of fitness...Try other things..I've found that I can get bored with most fitness activities, so I try to learn/add new variables to the things I do and my Ebike has been the best MTB, variable to FUN in a long time. Lastly, do you ONLY climb? I assume you enjoy/prefer descending. Bike geometry, drivetrain, innovations have all made climbing EASIER! I prefer to get, or "earn" (If it makes you feel "better") my fitness on the descents..but if you want to climb to Nirvana..Great-all the power to ya!!!

I've been mountain biking for quite awhile now (1988). I've owned many different bikes over the years, DH, Freeride, Enduro, trai, etc. I recently bought an Ebike and I will never go back to a mechanical/traditional mtb.
I've found climbing to actually be creative and FUN now!-having the ability to pop off of everything on the way up is amazing. Other than occasionally enjoying a random, easy-ish climb when your mind wanders and blends with the meandering undulations of the climb, Climbing SUCKS! (for me at least) Ebikes have turned this SUCKS into FUN!. Additionally, I've found descending, jumping etc. top be equally as fun and in certain scenarios, more fun than a traditional mtb. Once I adapted to the extra weight, I found the extra heft to be an asset to descending-the bike is more stable and glued to the ground than any traditional bike I've ridden.
I also did not find it to be overly slow or cumbersome. I respectfully disagree with everything you've stated in your article. I would venture to say that within 2 years, when Ebike's prices and weight drop, 50% of people will be riding Ebikes.

@David-f..lol!..Yes, I know-abundance of RF decals...extra stickers were included with my RF rim decals..so being the Bling Monger that I am, I couldn't resist applying them to the Crayola Crayon Box that my bike has become.

Frame weight is on par with everything else..Wreckoning, Spartan, Slayer, Firebird, etc.
build this bike in the 27lb-29lb range and everything is vastly improved and ALL bike reviews change dramatically.
I had G1 Process (size large) built to 28lbs even..I rode the G2 carbon version in stock form and it was a sluggish TANK.
Just needs to drop weight from stock shackles!
