As someone who raced pro downhill and has coached a lot of top pros I highly recommend ebikes for part of your training. I wish they were available in my racing days.
We have a short two minute downhill in town with about 500 feet of climbing (or shuttling per lap). It takes about 15 minutes a lap to shuttle and you spend most of than time sitting down in the shuttle truck. On my Kenevo I can do five laps in an hour and 15 minutes and get 5 intervals in by standing up and smashing the road climb each time.
What a great workout for r a racer with a full time job! Especially if you don't live near a lifg serviced hill.
