These HP designs are cool and great for pro riders with pro mechanics to perform bike surgery every week, but the sheer number of pivots and crevasses on some of these bikes should warrant trepidation for the rest of us. If people complain about pressfit BBs creaking, just wait until you hear the cacophony of death cries (think Mayan death whistle) coming from deep within the shock tunnel, linkages, pivots, idler wheel, tweaked chainlines, or internal cable labyrinths. I get the HP appeal, but there are always trade-offs that come with adding complexity to a system and we've been down many of these roads before.

If you where really into saving the environment you’d just use water and brushes. Such a fake company, don’t like the vibe they put out at all.

When you're selling over priced dish soap and free water will do the job equally as well you better have a hell of a launch video

Hey Vital, just got back from Outside news from PB, don't drop the ball. This is your moment. Stop with this out off reach bike reviews, hehehe, do more of that Stumpy Evo Expert kind of reviews. I will be ok if it's all 29er bikes, but sprinkle some 27.5 here and there. Also bring back the EWS Slideshow/interview. That misspentsummer layout with different size photos and comic sans font is not for me.😊

Wow. Yes, this will get downvoted but I find freedom to use this language more important than popularity. Counter culture is no longer "counter". Its the culture now.

People with values like mine, ones that point to pragmatism, and trying to note how impossible (and dangerous) a task like this (making sure nothing is offensive to anyone ever) no matter the expense, are becoming, oddly, the counter culture.

Tribe is not an offensive word. Or rather, if it is, we'd better dig up the root of every single word we currently use and put it before the post modernist committee to decide which is on the chopping block and which are okay (and, may I add, who can use each word too). It'll be endless. Welcome to a sort of French Revolution where your ideas, your words, your thoughts can be cancelled based on what the mob wants.

The irony to the comments below is they too are bullying. GET IN LINE, YOUR SPEECH IS LESS IMPORTANT THAN THIS ONE PERSON'S INTERPRETATION.

Where does it stop?

Between this and mountain bikers getting in on the BLM "movement" I've had about enough. Oh, and on that note, how many of the mountain bikers who stood up for BLM did anything thereafter? How big of a change have we felt? Nothing wrong for standing up for justice, for standing up for a man's life, but what exactly was your aim mountain bike activists? What problem have you identified and what are you doing to change it. I sincerely doubt your insta posts and now a company's attempt to remain squeaky clean with respect to the English language will materially change ANYTHING. Your willingness to confess your sins, or vow to do better (though frankly I never saw how you were doing something wrong), to the God of Wokeness, like this PR, makes me cringe.

Welcome to "Occupy 2.0", the goal? There is no goal. There is no leadership. There is no ends to this. Its a lot easier to tear down than it is to build up. This lesson is lost in current culture.

I beg everyone here that cares about this to take a listen to anyone like Eric Weinstein, Sam Harris, Jordan Peterson...anyone who will actually apply the intellectual scapel to this culture in a meaningful way.

It'll become clear, very quickly, how many people slept through history class.

You mentioned in your first response that the word "Tribe" at the center of this article hurts others. I would appreciate if you could provide me some sort of evidence that this word has injured someone so that my attempt to understand your viewpoint may be successful.

If Yeti decides to change their name to Snowman, I wouldn't have a problem with it. If the abandonment of the word "tribe" were accomplished without publicity, I wouldn't raise issue with it. I find issue with the fact that social pressure is driving these kinds of silly changes across the board. This social pressure is the reason it's being "Celebrated" in articles like this across mountain biking websites. This "if you aren't with us you're against us" mentality comes off the backs of people caving to convenient cultural sways driven by social media rather than independent original thoughts. Ironically, people acting "tribally" in pandering to their corners and shouting at each other (both sides) rather than having productive, meaningful discussions that produce positive results, understanding, and hopefully a bit of peace. If you can show me evidence of someone being injured by the word "Tribe" I will change my opinion. I can show you substantial evidence of harm resulting from censorship and mob mentality throughout history.

Wow....truly sad and caving into PC pressure. Nothing about using 'Tribe' is insulting or demeaning. It's a group of people with common bond, in this case Yeti bike culture. Textbook definition = "a social division in a traditional society consisting of families or communities linked by social, economic, religious, or blood ties, with a common culture and dialect, typically having a recognized leader."

Is it better quality than their spray bottles? Love the product but I have yet to buy a bottle from them that doesn't break down 1/3 into its use.

Do you have any proof that it isn't true? from what I've seen i think he nailed it. Most pros only post pics and videos of e-bikes to please sponsors. kinda like how a lot of pros posted pics of fat bikes and plus sized tires in the past even though behind the scenes it was common knowledge that no pros used them. Don't forget pro's are paid to sell bikes for the sponsors and the sponsors want to sell e-bikes.

Well if you can spare 5 minutes, it's still worth reading the rest. Yes, it's not quite as sticky in terms of pure surface grip, but once you have just a bit of pressure on the pedal, it digs in. I'm pretty sensitive to having my feet move around on my pedals, if I feel like my feet might slip or shift about, it really affects my riding. My current list of shoes that I'm happy to ride anywhere and not risk feeling like that: Five Ten, Ride Concepts, Bontrager and Specialized. The Michelin sole on Shimano's flat pedal shoe is also grippy enough, but overall I like that shoe less. Also, in terms of outright grip, add Unparallel to that list (probably at the very top in terms of stickiness), but that shoe falls well short of the others when it comes to stiffness, protection, and just general level of construction. FWIW.
