Is it better quality than their spray bottles? Love the product but I have yet to buy a bottle from them that doesn't break down 1/3 into its use.

Do you have any proof that it isn't true? from what I've seen i think he nailed it. Most pros only post pics and videos of e-bikes to please sponsors. kinda like how a lot of pros posted pics of fat bikes and plus sized tires in the past even though behind the scenes it was common knowledge that no pros used them. Don't forget pro's are paid to sell bikes for the sponsors and the sponsors want to sell e-bikes.

Well if you can spare 5 minutes, it's still worth reading the rest. Yes, it's not quite as sticky in terms of pure surface grip, but once you have just a bit of pressure on the pedal, it digs in. I'm pretty sensitive to having my feet move around on my pedals, if I feel like my feet might slip or shift about, it really affects my riding. My current list of shoes that I'm happy to ride anywhere and not risk feeling like that: Five Ten, Ride Concepts, Bontrager and Specialized. The Michelin sole on Shimano's flat pedal shoe is also grippy enough, but overall I like that shoe less. Also, in terms of outright grip, add Unparallel to that list (probably at the very top in terms of stickiness), but that shoe falls well short of the others when it comes to stiffness, protection, and just general level of construction. FWIW.

The name makes me picture snobs in targa tops & turtle necks. Can't buy it for the name alone.

A few comments:

-"no crazy antisquat numbers" : anti-squat of 100% basically means that whatever suspension movement is introduced by the force on the pedals is counter-acted by the tension on the chain, leaving the bike essentially free of bobbing (seated climbing, all other things being equal). Above 100% means the chain tension is greater than the force causing the suspension to compress, which actually means the chain tension will extend the suspension under pedaling as opposed to let it compress. This bike has 115% of antisquat at 30% sag, so although it is not "crazy", it is still a considerable amount. In real life it translates to a very efficient feeling at the pedals.

-"what looks to be a slack(ish) st angle" : yes, the actual seat angle is slack, but as I indicated in the article, the seat tube is also offset towards the front of the bike, so you end up with an effective seat angle that is actually steeper than the 27.5" version of the bike (measured horizontally at the top of the steer tube). Of course, if you have really long legs the actual seat angle will at some point start to become a problem, but I do have proportionally long legs for my height and it was perfectly good for me - and I'm allergic to slack seat tubes.

-36 lbs: I find that weight is really not such a big influence on climbing performance. I'd happily trade 5 lbs for good anti-squat and a steep seat tube. I have a few local loops that I can ride with or without a hydration pack, and I don't find it much easier getting up the climbs without the 10 lbs pack (just stoked to then not have it on the way down, where I enjoy feeling lighter and more nimble...)

urban DH racing is cool because it's its own thing. and it's amazing. but seeing the last 15+% of a track being pavement in a UCI DH race? crushed gravel at the top of the track?

this course is awful and i look forward to the comments from the racers. these men and women are the most elite MOUNTAIN bike racers in the world. is this course a joke? might as well just copy the EWS course selection - they're putting in the work to keep the circuit fresh and challenging...

Great Review but wish you had similar tires and similar spec bikes. Some bikes have PUSH coil shocks and Fox factory forks and Meaty Downhill tires like the DHF while other have lower end Fox Performance (not even Performance Elite) forks and Trail tires (Bontrager SE4).
