Currently on a Spitfire V3 and am blown away at how capable the KS2 system is. Even as a 135mm travel 27.5" bike it carries insane speed and can hang with much 'bigger' bikes. Next build will def be the Titan mixed wheel.

Funny you mention the bars on the Orbea. Two of our testers found them too stiff and would ditch them. The Orbea also has alloy wheels, not carbon. Lastly, the Zeb is an amazing fork and again, preferable to some in the crew.

The only bike with the carbon bar/wheels/cranks/38 combo is the Banshee.

We'd still peg the Spire as an all-rounder as-is. It was right in the mix for sure. Perhaps comparing it to the Sentinal is more accurate. Riders wanting to get out there all day but find the Sentinal a little short in the legs will be pumped on the Spire.

Added a new video Three Trails. Three Styles. One Rider. - For the Love of Trails ft. Skye Schillhammer 9/30/2021 7:48 AM

This short film is about our relationship with trails. Because if you don't have trails, where would you ride? As riders, our experience is always attached to the trail. We may focus on our bike, personal fitness, skill, or any number of outside factors. All of which play a part in our experience, but to me, nothing means more than the trail in front of you. For this video, we picked three different styles of trail that we personally felt connected to. We started in the alpine, highlighting natural beauty via a ribbon of trail moving through old-growth forest, alpine meadow, and rocky peaks. My eyes fixate on my surroundings as much as the dirt under my wheels. And motivation coming from the desire to catch the sunrise plus be immersed in the landscape. We wanted to display how some trails are a canvas for a rider's creativity to shine for the next section. Much like a playground, here you have endless options to choose from, with each lap looking different from the last. Underneath a thick pacific northwest canopy of trees, loamy and loose soil provided a landscape to jib, slide, and gap anything and everything. To finish off the film, we wanted to slow down a bit and turn the viewer's attention to the little moments in time floating in the air. It seems somewhat counterintuitive that we spend so much time perfecting a jump trail of dirt just so that riders can spend time in the air. But these moments mean everything. They excite us, inspire us, and have us constantly pushing back up for another lap. So much happens in these precious few seconds; the speed, the pop, the trick all coming together in an instant to make a successful hit. This video highlights three trail styles that we are passionate about, with many more existing out there that mean something to others. That may be the best part about trails. They can mean something different to everyone. With no better or worse, right or wrong. All just for the love of trails. I'm happy to have had the opportunity to work with my friend Cameron Hotchkiss on making this idea come to light, and I hope everyone enjoyed seeing what trails get us excited and headed out the door to ride. Added a new video Sam Blenkinsop Riding As You've Never Seen Before...Dad Style 9/21/2021 7:29 AM

When Sam’s parents bought him his first pedal bike at 3 years old, they kick-started a lifelong passion for their son. Now, after 17 years competing professionally at the top level of the sport, and collecting his share of silverware along the way, Sam says he’s still in love with mountain biking – just as much as when he got that first bike. “Biking has always been the thing that I love so much, and I always thought that if it ever became a job for me, that’s when I’d stop. But I’ve been professional now for 17 years, and I’m still so hungry for it.” When Sam’s not wide open between the tape on a World Cup downhill track, you’ll find him on his local trails at home in Christchurch, New Zealand – sharing his passion for riding bikes with his daughter Indie. Since becoming a Dad, Sam has juggled racing and fatherhood while remaining at the sharp end of the world cup leaderboards. For most pros, having kids would mean time to ease off the gas – but Sam says getting to share the things he loves with Indie has only made riding more enjoyable. “My riding still feels the same, I’m still as stoked as I ever was – I’m probably more stoked because I get to share that with Indie.” Reflecting on a life of getting to see the world through racing, Sam says he now wants to show Indie what life has to offer as his parents did for him. And whether Indie inherits his love for 2 wheels or not, riding bikes together for them is about sharing amazing adventures, and showing Indie the world, with all the incredible things in it – beyond the walls of her bedroom. A massive thanks to Sam, Lysh, and Indie Blenkinsop for sharing their story.
