Have just watched Wyn Masters giving our 1600-1800+ Euros to privateers at the recent EWS round. All made up of donations and Shimano topping things up as well. Maybe things are turning the right way round...

In all honesty, the Pros are supposedly being paid a salary and getting various bonuses etc and it is very likely the Pros are the ones who will be in the top 5. Why not scrap the prize money for pros and then dish out prize money for the non-fulltime/semi-pro ... more »

Totally agree, its maybe why i am loving the Magic Mary's. Its not quite what you mean i think, but good ol square edged knobs grip.

Still running the Marys front and rear. The rear, obviously rolls better with up to 4psi more than I would run a DHR2, though the grip is not really effected by the increase of pressure.

Update - I just tried a Magic Mary upfront and as well out back (both orange compound). On the mellower trails with not much of a descent, i thought my rear brake was dragging. I could feel the bike slowing down due to the tyre drag. BUT when gravity ... more »

I have got a magic Mary up front and a DHR2 out back on my 29er. it does all I need it to do on the wet and dry rocks, root and everything else here in HK.

That sucks. Dirt Rag was one of those down to earth/though a bit out there, bikes, baggies and beer mags.
