Not off-topic at all, like you said, it keeps coming up. The original owner of the bike can submit a form on Santa Cruz's website to receive replacement bearings, shipped to them. The installation is up to the owner.

Sorry to get a little off-topic, but I keep seeing articles on Santa Cruzs say free lifetime bearing "replacement". I've always assumed that means Santa Cruz will supply new bearings for free, but now I'm wondering if they actually mean replacement. Do they cover the costs of the shop swapping the bearings too?

Holy crap. So Phil has a backflip backside manual...and a tree tap manual...and...geez. I was exhausted at 2:30 and the video kept going. Warn me next time. I should have hydrated. That video was exhausting!!!!

Can't speak for other countries, but if you're a US rider you pretty much need to be rich to get into World Cups. DH isn't a cheap sport, but traveling the country for 5 races that get you UCI points (and not even that many) is crazy. Expecting people to max out credit cards and...more

The second one. You can see this "rearward offset" language in Norco's Ride Aligned suspension setup literature. They call it "Offset 1" if you ride more forward on the bike, needing a stiffer fork and softer shock, and "Offset 2" where you're more rearward on the bike and need a softer...more

What does he mean by riders "who run a more significant rearward offset"? Short fork offset or who ride a bit more off the back of the bike?

Holy mother of bike checks!!! The details and pickiness are amazing. Thank you!

Do you think there is a place for shorter, nimble bikes? (And I mean in the forest not a pump track)

My goal was to create the ultimate do-it-all MTB that would perform in the terrain I ride in most - Finale Ligure and central Europe where we chairlift, shuttle, or pedal big road climbs to take on gnarly and steep descents. That said, I have also done >100km XC rides on...more
