If you have to over-spring the shock even with the largest volume spacer I think that answers the question already.

Also, how about better communication with those mom and pop shops? We found out about the new Nomad not by anything on the dealer site, or an email, or a phone call, but by seeing the first rides online.. Or a heads up that six special order high end bikes were...more

It's really only Shimano with an eThirteen cassette. The shifter is XTR instead of XT because there were no more XTs in stock and I had an XTR laying around. I chose the eThirteen cassette for more range at less weight and half the cost of an XT/XTR cassette. So far so good on the two test rides as far as shifting...more

I find it so ironic how enve is trying to be more pocket friendly now... they used to be like” we’re the best so give us your money” now they’re like “we’re not the best anymore but please buy this cheaper stuff so we don’t go out of business, oh also our competitors make the same stuff for...more

I understand physics extremely well. Comparing glass, brain movement within the skull, etc are all erroneous when compared to the force buffering provided by those other barriers. A more appropriate comparison would be a bra on a car. Protects the paint from scratches and chips, but provides no real structural benefit. The amount of force absorbed by a component with almost no capacity to absorb outside forces is...almost nothing.

Like I said, great for protecting paint. Maybe it’ll keep your bike from shattering into a thousand pieces. It’s not like Spider-Man’s web or a wearable forcefield

I have the material and can cut and apply film over vulnerable spots as needed. It is driven by carbon fiber garage queens who obsess over resale. I don't buy my bikes thinking immediately about resale. That is dumb.
