The heavens opened up on qualifying day at the 2019 World Championships at Mont Sainte Anne, Canada. With dry weather in the forecast for the weekend and no points or actual qualifying for riders to worry about today, it's hard to jump to any conclusions, but these results still provide a good indication of who's feeling confident enough on the track at this point to lay down a solid run. At the very least, it's a good dress rehearsal. We're happy to see both Myriam Nicole and Tahnee Seagrave back in the mix, the former showing her cards early by scoring the fastest qualifier, while Aaron Gwin marked his return to racing with an unremarkable cruise down on the day when it doesn't matter. Whether it mattered or not, Danny Hart went fastest at every split and took the top spot by over three seconds. Now let the real games begin (check the official start lists for the finals at the bottom)!
