Close but no cigar: they've overbuilt the wrapping portion of this carrier but the open sides are going to let your inflator, multitool, links, lever, tube, etc. load up w/ grit & grind the crap out of each other. Same problem as Speedsleev, they've just rotated the opening 90 degrees. My money will go to whoever develops a fully weatherproof, quick-access replacement for the traditional saddle bag. Until then, I'll keep using the ones I've found to suck least.

The 76 Projects Piggy Pouch may be an option. I ordered it with the Piggy for the exact reasons you describe. Huge Dakine fan but this came up short big time by not being fully enclosed.

I like the fact that there's specific pockets to separate things but I agree with the lack of coverage. Until they have both separators and total coverage I'll stick to using my old trusty Thomson seat post bag and a Velcro strap

Yep just like elbow pads & jersey pockets: totally out. Cool kids say we're supposed to bleed, wear fanny packs, & tape crap all over our frames instead ;~> Honest truth is traditional saddle bags really just present the least-worst option for daily MTB use. I cut the front straps off my favorite compact saddle bag to clear my dropper & then the rear velcro fasteners gave out. Cut those off & modded it w/ knife, tenacious tape & a Voile ski strap. It's now silent w/ bomber hold, *but* losening the strap and opening the zipper to remove the half-dozen items I've Tetris-ed in there takes time. For everyday riding I deal w/ it to protect my gear. For racing I tape the bare essentials to the frame for speed of access. If someone comes out w/ a fully protected, quick access option that would mount to rails and/or frame, I'd vote for them with my dollars!

I purchased one of these so I wouldn't have to carry a pack. This combined with the SWAT Vest is the only thing you need for your daily ride! I put racer tape where it sits for grip and so it doesn't rub. I'll be using this for all my bikes.

Very nice. I'm surprised it took this long to get something like this (maybe there are others I don't know about) to market. Perfect for the no bag crowd.

They basically just took the Speedsleev design & rotated direction of wrap 90 degrees. Neither design protects contents or guarantees smaller items like links or inflators won't rattle out. No thanks.

Nothing rattles. It's all a very tight fight. Small items like links sit securely in the pocket. I guess you'd have to try it to find out for yourself.

ive used one of these 3 times a week for the last 2 months. Nothing has rattled and the contents is fine and havent rubbed. Im really happy with it
