Mt. Creek NEVER disappoints. For last weekend's Nationals, the weather held up nicely leaving an east coast track dry on race day, making for some fast, and loose racing. With half the racers suffering from the same wildfire-smoke-related itchy throat and stuffed sinuses that was making the rounds in Colorado and in the southeast, the dust and heat on Sunday had them pushing themselves to the limit just to complete the race run. Steve Walton had a bird fly into him mid-rock garden and Max Morgan hurt his arm in practice leaving him to sit this one out. Three of the fastest women on our continent battled it out in Pro Women's class with Kailey Skelton emerging victorious, while Neko Mulally kept the momentum from Sugar Mt. DHSE to take the win in Vernon before heading over to Maribor. The DJ (as in disc jokey, not dirt jump!) in the second rock garden kept the vibes pumping and hecklers did what they do best.
