The new Pearl Izumi X Alp Launch 2 shoe features a carbon shank for stiffness, rubber traction pads on the entire shoe sole to make them more walkable, and a BOA closure system. With the BOA dial located on the top of foot, Pearl says it will be less likely to break off on a passing rock or stump when bombing down gnarly trails. The shoes will come in two colors and will retail for $160.
