Check out the vid and write up from the Hutchinson UR team at Val di Sole 2013.

Another good race weekend under the sun.

This weekend the Hutchinson UR team was in Italy for the 2nd World Cup race in Val Di Sole. The sun was shining bright and a very dusty and technical track awaited the riders.

Tracey felt great on her bike all weekend and despite a 7th place in qualifying, she carried on getting faster and faster at each training session.Unfortunately she got off on a bad pace during her race run and probably rode at a too conservative pace to make sure she didn't crash and injure herself. He finished in 11th and was rather disappointed with that performance as she should have been fighting for a podium place on this tough track. She will for sure be on it at the next World Cup in Vallnord.

Guillaume had a few ups and downs over the weekend. A big crash in qualifying nearly got him out of the race, but he still managed to qualify in 75th place (out of 80 selected). The split times showed a promising 16th and 19th place before his crash, so the whole team was behind him for Sunday. As he was one of the first to descend the track, he got the best time and stayed in the hot seat for a good part of the afternoon. By the time everyone had come down he was sitting in 20th place ; his best place yet! He is on fire at the moment!

Fabien managed to qualify and then had a smooth race run until his chainring hit a rock and bent preventing him from getting any pedal strokes to get a proper run. He therefore finished in 67th but was still happy not to get any injuries or have any serious crashes. He is now thinking about performing at next weekends Urban Downhill in Bratislava.

Mick once again achieved a solid performance. Last year he struggled to get a 30th place in finals. This year he took a great 12th place in qualifying and still managed to better his run in finals and grab the 9th place despite a broken derailleur that stopped him from pedaling the last sprint to the line. This was therefore a more than satisfying weekend for him especially seen as he isn't used to such bashed up tracks.

Next weekend Tracey and Fabien are going to Bratislava to battle the Slovakian paved streets for an Urban Downhill race organized by Filip Polc. Next race for Guillaume will be at the French Cup of Oz en Oisans at the end of June. Mick is going back to the USA to train and see his family and Holly is nursing her broken hand at home at the Sunshine Coast. We hope to see both of them back in top form for the Crankworx Les 2 Alpes where the whole team will be taking part in many races."
