That trail was so fun I had to ride it twice. The upper half is pretty pedally but you're rewarded with a rad, almost 10 minute downhill.

So rad! I can't wait to get down there a loop a couple runs around!
4/7/2013 5:51 PM
WOW! That looks fun!

rode this new trail from the top yesterday. tons o fun. i can attest that no "damage" was done in the creation of this trail. it was very well planned and constructed to utilize the terrain.

So i was feeling really bummed out and angry about the UCI rule clarification thing but then i watch this and remember there is awesomeness happening in the mtnbkng world that far out ways that petty crap. thank you dedicated trail builders, thank you.

Very, very cool. Nice edit for what looks to be an instant classic. Killer work, trail builders.

I'm loving this sweet new trail! Tyson's lead and vision made this a mountain biker's dream trail. There are more to come and people are flocking to Moab to explore the new as well and enjoy the old. There's plenty of opportunity for all outdoor enthusiasts that come to Moab. See you on the trails!!!

Very nice loved the line the way it followed the valley, big rocks to dodge and you do not want to miss some of those turns, incredible rock puzzle work.

Nice work Tyson, thx to everyone who put in the hard work building the trail, looks like a blast, can't wait to shred it!!
4/5/2013 6:55 AM
Thanks for the new trail!

I really hope you are kidding javier... What they are doing here is creating a sustainable singletrack trail, with little impact on the surrounding environment, that will last for generations. Just using natural lines in many cases can cause serious erosion problems, because many times they follow a fall line of a hillside. Also in Moab Area, you cannot just take any area and ride on natural lines because of the fragile environment (cryptobiotic soil mainly) and by creating these types of trails, it will keep people off of these fragile elements. you want to see destruction, you need to look at the 4x4's of the moab area, not the mountain bikers.
4/5/2013 6:17 AM
I like more the old style when people didn't destroy half the place for opening a trail but instead used the natural lines of the environment, watching this is very sad.
4/5/2013 12:12 PM
Tell us what you prefer instead. I mean it, really. What do you like better than this? What trails do you ride that required little or no manipulation of the land? What do you think was destroyed here? Where some rocks slid? Where there were nasty exposures that might lead to rider getting hurt? Would you prefer that? We're all eager to hear what you have to say.
Natural lines to me sounds like dragging a rear brake down the tillings of a quarry and surfing dirt a la Froriders in the 90s. Tell me I am wrong.
4/5/2013 5:54 AM
well... i can't wait.

It is a blast! An instant Moab Classic. Many of Moab's "classic" trails are beginning to become degraded big time due to 4x4 traffic, however these newer bike specific single tracks that are popping up are amazing (Ahab, Pipe dream, deadmans in Bar M are some of my favorites), props to the dedicated trail builders!
