You can't beat true 3D shot with dual cameras- Redbull/Freeride gave in to the dual camera crews. The next Harry Potter will not be 3D because it was not shot in 3D and conversions almost always are terrible. Algorithmic 3D depthmaps never beat the real thing. Go take a test drive.
There is a great deal of material out there in 3D that would run on the new TV's, but you need to hook your computer up to view it (youtube has a full color 3D player if you have the monitor/tv, also YABAZAM.com). 60 and 120 HZ 3D tv's have been out for a while, but again you needed to hook up your PC, run programs (Nvidea is pretty good stuff) and make sure your transmitter/glasses are dialed. The difference now is that there is an industry standard for 3D blu ray, which allows for plug and play viewing.
i believe the tvs can turn anything that it plays into 3D. It was manually seperate the fields using the remote. And you wear active shutter glasses which take batteries. So it's not as though if you want to watch a movie in 3D, you have to buy the 3D release
Isn't it kinda ironical that you wont be able to watch any of the content shown in flippin' 3D? Doesn't make a lot of sense getting a bloody 3D TV Set now with almost no 3D content around whatsoever...
Sick!!! That's actually the TV I am saving for right now and buying at the end of the month with this next check. Makes me that much happier to get it now that I know they see MTB as perfect for HD and 3D!!!
