Was trying to figure out where that long left hand wooden berm was that she was riding... until i realized they flipped that shot horizontally.

IMO, the changes to Gypsy have been more for the worst. They admit in the film that they're intentionally slowing down certain sections. What they don't discuss is the removal of any sense of natural terrain and a complete replacement with wooden berms, connected by flat trail, interrupted by awkward, up-hill jumps.

It's not done yet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there's some semblance of rough natural trail on the lower half. Otherwise Boondocks will be the only DH left on the Zephyr side.

I think you're missing the point! This is their "new" "Freeride" trail. Man made features. I'd rather rail a wooden berm than a blown out brake bumped to shit berm. If you want natural terrain hit Booners like you mentioned or take a trip over to Vista.
Don't hate, appreciate. We should be applauding their efforts. Keep MTB Parks alive!

It's funny how first everyone complained all last year about how northstar doesn't do any trail maintenance- the berms are blown out, the ruts are huge and there are braking bumps everywhere. So now they bust out with a completely cleaned up and re-done version of Gypsy and it's all aboard the bandwagon to complain that there's not enough non-groomed stuff? .... Except for the rest of the mountain of course. You know, Karpiel, Sticks and Stones, Dog Bone, Boondocks.... I think the only real groomed runs on the whole mountain are Gypsy and Livewire. Pretty awesome if you ask me to be able to switch it up from man made stunts to gnarly depending on what you feel like each time you go up the lift.
