For years riders have been asking for a long travel single crown fork from Manitou. Well, here's your answer. Introducing the Mattoc, an enduro/trail/all-mountain fork that borrows Dorado technology and is ready for whatever you can dish out...

The Mattoc is a 34mm stanchion fork with 140, 150 or 160mm of travel for both 26 and 27.5-inch tire sizes. It is also available in a 170mm configuration for 26-inch tires only.

It will be available in Pro, Expert and Comp configurations. Pro and Expert feature the lightest weight chassis, with taper-wall legs and Manitou’s patented deep bore hollow crown on Pro and Expert models. The Pro Model gets additional weight savings with a light weight cartridge damper, bringing the total weight down to 1877g.

The Mattoc has a new shim based MC2 (Multi Control Compression) Damper, featuring Hi and Low Speed Compression adjusters.

The on-the-fly Low Speed adjuster allows the rider to dial in just the right chassis control for excellent handling and pedaling efficiency without sacrificing small-bump sensitivity. The low speed adjuster is also remote compatible using the MILO system.

A key feature borrowed from the Dorado is HBO, or Hydraulic Bottom out. The externally adjustable HBO on Expert and Pro models allows the rider to dial in the right end-stroke resistance for larger drops to achieve an endless stroke feel regardless of compression damping set-up, spring pressure, or rider weight.

Another technology borrowed from the Mattoc’s big brother, is the Dual-chamber Dorado Air Spring. The moderately progressive rate air spring allows the fork to be most sensitive thru high speed bumps without sacrificing midstroke control.

The Mattoc also features Manitou’s patented QR15 Hexlock. QR15 Hexlock boosts stiffness, alleviates stiction and is quite simply one of the fastest quick release axles on the market today.

The chassis design optimizes the bushing spacing for reduced friction and increased stiffness.

Independent oil seal and dust wipers improve reliability and resistance to blow-out. Capillary seal lubrication maintains constant lubrication of the oil seal without reducing bushing surface area.

TPC rebound circuit is a shim based tapered needle oil flow system. We’ve optimized the oil flow area for the best chassis control with no pack-up. This updated design improves traction, provides better ride quality, and maintains control in any condition.
