I just want to say how awesome it was to be like a fly on the wall as Steve talked to Jason about the sizes etc. It might be the bike nerd coming out of me, but those are the convo's that I love to hear with the people directly involved with the design of the bike. Not a bunch of hot air with nothing to back it. Intelligence and bike knowledge at its best!

Guys, just to clear all you up, he said nothing rough or WC level IN THE OFF SEASON (winter) and @kochjg I agree with you; however, all those places are closed during the winter and he can't ride there. I give the guy props for saying what's on his mind and he'll be in for a surprise at nationals on that Angelfire track!

I agree, people can say what they will everyrider out there thinks they know where the gnar is.....truth is unless you have been to a European world cup you cannot comprehend how steep and rough it really is....did they slack off maybe, but even the likes of Steve Pete said Val di sole was one of the gnarliest tracks hes ever raced..whats he know hes only been around 20 years racing world cups...I just think its funny how everyone just thows Gwin under the bus because he didnt slaughter everyone

So what I'm hearing is Aaron and his team didn't do the off season homework that they should have. Sounds like they are close now but man, there is plenty of rough riding in the US. If you are a WC team with last years top dog you travel to the terrain dang it. Its like deciding not to study until you fail the first test of the semester.

Seriously! No rough tracks/trails in the US?!? Are you fucking kidding me? That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Maybe not in January, but in the spring, there is, um, Windham? MSA a few hours north in Canada? Whistler? Trestle in CO? Mt Snow? Angelfire? Oregon? Platty? I don't know, I call BS. The bottom line is they thought the medium was right, but they were wrong, and they should have done more due diligence

I want to know more about his grip compound preferences, as well as his choice in saddle. I think those are far more important features on a downhill bicycle.

Isn't he sponsored by Mammoth Mtn.? They can't be real happy right now. There's plenty of steeps and rocks there. There's also a secret track that Brad knows that's world cup steep and rocky, at least in places.
