Crankworx Les Deux Alpes 2013 - Teva Best Trick Showdown 2

The Teva Best Trick Showdown got off to a shaky start with brisk winds containing all the action to the last booter on the Crankworx Les 2 Alpes Slopestyle course. The crowd appreciated the change as they got front row seats to all the action; once the athletes got going, energy was high and the stoke factor was massive.

Yannick Granieri (FRA) took home 2000€ with his technically difficult “flip double whip”. Another top contender for the spoils was Antoine Bizet, a rider who has been building himself a reputation as one of the top big mountain riders in Europe despite hailing from the flat lands of Versailles, France. His double backflip was full of style and amplitude but in the end it didn’t measure up to Granieri’s tech trick. The Teva Best Trick Showdown is a peer-judged event where the riders themselves decide who deserves the prize. Also, since the upper jump was taken out due to wind, the Teva Best Trick Showdown awarded the entire cash purse to one rider.
