Changing Mountain Bike Brake Pads, Best Practices - Tips In Sixty

Here are the steps to change your brake pads with the least amount of stress on you, or the brake system!

It is important to remember to vent the system before you drive the pistons in to replace the pads. You can see in the video how much fluid is displaced from the modern 4 piston system.

Before you close the system a quick bubble bleed will insure the best lever feel and brake performance!

Insuring that all pistons are driving equally (correct sticky pistons as needed), check caliper alignment, insure rotor is within wear spec.
