Big Park, Big Fun, Small Bikes 2

Whistler Blackcomb has added downhill mountain bikes designed specifically for kids to its rental fleet. GIANT Bicylces has developed the Yukon, a brand new kids mountain bike specifically designed for the Whistler Mountain Bike Park and the little rippers that like to play there. The 24-inch dual suspension bike allows for a smooth ride and enables kids to have a seamless first experience in the bike park.

Also new this summer, Whistler Blackcomb added Norco's kid-specific mountain bike to its rental fleet. Norco Ninjas are outfitted with a rugged aluminum frame and suspension fork in the front.

Finally an option for kids that doesn't involve kmart. These compaines are making 24" mtbs for couple years but the dh specifics are pretty new. More parents should look into this instead of jacking your kid up on a 26" where the cranks are too long, bars too long, kids face 2" from the stem soo stretched out. Its just asking for hospital time. Get the right sized tool for the job and now you have plenty options. Don't have to wait til kid is 18 to buy them a bike or force them on your old frame that way too long for them. Kkid sized cranks, bars, helmets, they have it good now. When I was young there was no option for anything, the dark age of mtb 1983.
