Third round of City Downhill World Tour returned to Bratislava after a year. All guys except Matej Charvat competed. Matej has some damage on the ligaments in his right wrist and he will be out of racing for about four weeks.
The track here in Bratislava was almost similar to last year – fast and loose with lots of features like wall rides, big drops and gaps. Matt Walker bulit a special bike for this event. Banshee Darkside with 650b Maxxis Tires HR2s and yes, it was fast.
The trainings went well for all the guys ticking off all the features with the first two runs and even the qualification was promising.
Matt had a really quick run and ended up on a really nice 3rd place with a few mistakes. Filip Polc won again in front of his homecrowd. 2nd was Johannes Fischbach.
Reece Potter crossed the line on 11th place and Tom Matthews on 13th.
