conspiracy theorists can calm down. vital didn't censor any comments. we can and we have the right to keep our site classy, but we didn't alter or delete anything in this case.

the original uploader of the video has the ability to delete comments, so maybe he did? as poster of the video, he can do whatever he wants regarding the video he uploaded, just like you could if you uploaded a video.

@faster than u, it wasn't my intention w/ the description "wrong place at the right time" to indicate that it was funny that anyone (officer or not) was hit. just a fact that the person was coincidentally in the worst location on the hill when this random crash happened. sorry for miscommunication on that.

Posting a video on a DH crash is one thing, but putting in the headline about taking out a cop and then saying wrong place at the right time insinuates that it's funny or cool that the rider ran into the cop and knocked him down. Its not. You can have an opinion on the police, but when you bring it to a mountain bike website, it becomes political and it does not belong. It maybe funny to the ignorant or uneducated, but it's inflamitory to others. It should be removed from the website entirely unstead of just censoring out the criticism.

I was kinda wondering if this video and all of the Cop heckling that went on would cause some controversy and I guess it did. I've been edited by the powers that be myself over some late night drunk assed stupid comment. I didn't like it, sure. But it's what they had to do to maintain a pleasant, mountain bike based atmosphere. I don't Facebook and this place is as close as I come to it. I vent a bit some times, but it's usually somewhat based on bikes. If you're unhappy about politics, go to a political website. If you're upset about the state of race relations in the United States, this isn't so much the place to vent. Huge (6' 7", 200 lbs.) white fan of Elliot jackson and his white teammate JHerbs by the way. RIDE ON!

Chasejj, it sounds to me like you don't have the mental or intellectual capacity to discuss current societal issues affecting our nation, not to mention the fact that it was a mountain biking video on a mountain bike website, but I'll defer to my first statement as to why you cannot comprehend their reasoning to post this video.

Preston-Your comments were inappropriate and lame, and not to mention completely based on a false narrative.
The fact is the whole title and video is inflammatory and unnecessary for an MTB website.
You'll notice mine were censored as well. VitalMTB is officially off my Favorites file.
If they really wanted to do the right thing they would take it down entirely.

Oh wow, looks like vital CENSORS user comments! Seriously? My comment was humorous in its nature, and relating to current, national issues with no bias or disrespect at all. Not that you care, but I certainly won't be back here after having this account and being a loyal member for a few years. Pinkbike docents even practice that type of censorship...
