2014 Cairns UCI World-Cup DH Course Preview with Mick Hannah 3

RIDECairns takes you on a high speed run with World-Cup DH legend and Cairns local Mick Hannah down the newly re-built DH course for the upcoming 2014 Cairns UCI World-Cup in April. The course is truly unique where it also hosted the first world-cup round in the southern hemisphere back in 1994, then culminating with the infamous 1996 World-Championship Trials.

Set deep in the rainforest clad mountains, only 10 minutes drive from the Cairns International Rainforest. At the start line you are greeted with stunning views out towards the great barrier reef.

Be sure to follow RIDECairns for further action from this truly iconic rainforest MTB destination.

Especially the upper part of the track looks like big fun!

Let's hope Mick has the head for it this time and doesn't freak ut at the bottom.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if he took the win in PMB: He'll have been focusing exclusively on Cairns and Worlds, and he seems to be at his very best when he doesn't have any expectations (e.g.: After his huge letdown at Worlds, he smashed the Hafjell qualifying, just 0.1 off Gee)

Thank God we've started to talk about World Cups again. The off season sucks !
