I was under the impression that you needed to install the top and bottom gimbals simultaneously or else they wouldn't seat properly and you would have creaking. This is how I installed mine and I have had zero knock or creaks in a 2 months span. That's with a lot of riding and a lot of washing of the bike.

He said Anti-what??? I am very interested to see what type of grease he used to try and get rid of the creaking...
