Just re-watched this for the first time since it was posted. I do believe this was our first look at a Mojo HDR!!!
3/4/2013 11:53 PM
The guy is a former Norba (National DH) champ back in 98ish
3/5/2013 11:06 AM
It's crazy to me that there are people who might not know that. I'm getting old

Brian Lopes. The Man, The Myth, The Legend.

3/3/2013 8:49 PM
Smooth is fast.....
3/3/2013 3:27 PM
i keep watching this and it keeps getting more impressive every time
3/3/2013 6:33 AM
Humbling pretty much sums it up - location check?
3/19/2013 7:30 PM
Aliso Woods/ Telonics
3/3/2013 1:54 PM
From :09 to :20 it's an access trail linking parts of Aliso and Wood Canyon park in Laguna Beach. The uphill rock he cleans is up a very steep climb. Simply amazing. The rest of the footage is from a very popular DH trail in Laguna Beach - in descending order on the trail. As for the comment below "Most would not be that fast on a DH bike," Lopes has proved that by winning the annual (underground) race on the same trail for the last 6+ years - on a 5-6" trailbike and single crown fork. Dude's fast up and down.
3/4/2013 1:07 PM
looks like fun Laguna/Aliso trails.
3/3/2013 12:08 AM
clearly he's not slowing down any time soon....
3/2/2013 9:19 PM
I've watched that 4 times and I'm still blown away. Most would not be that fast on a dh bike.
3/2/2013 4:07 PM
Showing people that more than 4 inches is unnecessary on most trails...
3/2/2013 4:14 PM
I might be wrong but that looks like a Mojo HD with an X-Fusion Vengeance fork...so I'm guessing it's 6 inches
3/2/2013 11:04 PM
...when you are on your home trail and know every corner of it i bet :-)
3/2/2013 2:07 PM
Like a surgeon with a scalpel, precise and committed. He looks faster now than he's ever looked, and that's saying something. Get him on a DH bike?
3/29/2013 9:15 PM
ibis doesn't make a DH bike.
3/2/2013 1:50 PM
3/2/2013 1:36 PM
Damn! Had to watch that twice and still cannot process how fast and smooth Lopes is.
3/2/2013 1:28 PM
man can shred
3/2/2013 12:17 PM
That kind of riding is just on a whole other level.
3/2/2013 10:46 AM
Foook Lopes is still rapid!!! The pedal uphill step up was pretty impressive.
3/2/2013 10:38 AM
Holy Hell! I don't even know what to say, that was so incredibly fast!
3/2/2013 9:18 AM
I think there is a brake malfunction on his bike, that was just too dang fast.
3/2/2013 9:06 AM
I've got Lopes in my name, but the speed didn't came with it.
Respect to one of the all time greatest riders on the planet.
