ONE LAP - Lars Sternberg & Luke Strobel, Xanadu 24

Well our MTB Bucket List just got longer. Lars Sternberg and Luke Strobel rip the ridges and berms of Xanadu in Eastern Washington. Lars is on his Transition Patrol and Luke is on his Evil Bikes The Following 29er. There may be some news about what you might see in this video dropping in the next few weeks, too.

Lars is having to work to keep Luke in sight on this run. He even mentions that the 29's are rolling fast and you can hear it in his breathing and see he's pedaling more than Luke. Man, just shows that Luke is damn fast and man that looks like a damn fun and long trail!!

Rode that trail last summer and had so much fun. Just passing through town with my bike and didn't know where to go. The guys at the bike shop gave me a map to Xanadu and I was so thankfull. Support LBS

Leavenworth, WA is more central WA than Eastern WA- does no one have a map?

I learned a couple things just now. 1) I live in WA and need to get out there. 2) I need to get a clutched rear derailleur. That bike was so quiet. Mine would've had so much chain slap noise.

I've ridden (read: dragged a ton of brakes with a seriously puckered sphincter) Tres Hombres, which is nearby. It's got some seriously steep and consequential sections in between some fast and flowy sections. I have nothing but respect for people that can rally that trail.

This trail looks a LOT more manageable to an intermediate like myself. Still looks steep as hell in spots, but not as sink-or-swim as Tres.
